From up high the islands of the Philippines are beautiful and when we touched down even more, not just by beauty of the place but more by the love of the friends. They showed us to our room in a local hotel, there is no option with the local friends. It was more than we expected.....electricity, running warm water and a thick foam pad mattress. We immediately went to the hub to meet then team here at the disast relief center and had a meal. They were excited as we were to arrive. Sunday we attended a meeting with a small english group and spent the afternoon getting acquainted with our brothers who all have been assigned here for the disaster relief work. Such a beautiful spirit of young men who have offered themselves willingly to help our brothers. This island was not affected by the storm surge but by high winds. Our brothers here all survived which was a huge relief. Our internet is not working great yet, will try to update the blog when we can. Sending our love.
